I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with people. Indira Gandhi Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. John F. Kennedy Leadership is often mistakenly perceived as the exercise of power. Neophyte leaders may share comedian Tina Fey’s (2011) misconceptions about the nature of the role: “Contrary to what I believed as a little girl, being the boss almost never involves marching around, waving your arms, and chanting, ’I am the boss! I am the boss!’” (p. 5).
