Assembly of four d10-metal inorganic–organic hybrid coordination polymers based on bipyrazine imine-based ligand: Synthesis, crystal structures and luminescent properties

Four new inorganic–organic hybrid coordination polymers {[Ag2L(NO3)2]·H2O}n (1), [Ag2L(SCN)2]n (2), [CdL(SCN)2]n (3), and [CdLI2]n (4) have been synthesized and structurally characterized by IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric (TG) analyses and complete single crystal structure analyses, where L is 2,5-bis(pyrazinyl)-3,4-diaza-2,4-hexadiene. The structure of polymer 1 is a 3D coordination framework containing Ag-(μ-NO3−) inorganic bridging units, in which each L coordinates four silver atoms through two pyrazinylimine chelate units and two terminal monodentate pyrazinyl N donors. Polymer 2 displays a new 3D inorganic–organic hybrid network through the coordination interactions between Ag-(1,1,3-μ-SCN−) inorganic 2D sheets and bidentate bridging ligands with two terminal monodentate pyrazinyl N donors. Bidentate bridging ligands link 1D inorganic chains Cd-(1,3-μ-SCN−) system for 3 and Cd-(μ-I−) system for 4 to form a similar two-dimensional layer network. The luminescent properties of polymers 1–4 were investigated in the solid state at room temperature.

Two one-dimension copper(II) coordination polymers based on imine-based bidentate Schiff-base ligand: synthesis, crystal structure and luminescent properties.

Two new one-dimension copper(II) coordination polymers [CuL(2)(NCS)(2)](n) (1) and [CuL(2)(NO(3))(2)](n) (2) (L=(C(5)H(4)N)C(CH(3))=N-N=(CH(3))C(C(5)H(4)N)) have been synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, TG technique and X-ray crystallography. Each Cu(II) atom has a distorted octahedral N(6) (1) or N(4)O(2) (2) environment with four pyridyl N atoms from four ligands and two N atoms from two NCS(-) anions for polymer 1 or two O atoms from two NO(3)(-) anions for polymer 2, respectively. A pair of bis-monodentate bridging ligands links two Cu(II) centers to form one dimension chain structure containing bimetallic 22-membered macrometallacyclic rings. 1D chain is held together with its neighboring ones via C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds for 1 and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, C-H⋯π interactions for 2 to form a 3D supramolecular structure, respectively. The luminescent properties of the polymers 1 and 2 were investigated in the solid state at room temperature.

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Mn(II) Metal-Organic Framework Based on a Polydentate Schiff Base Ligand

A Mn(II) metal-organic framework {[MnL2(NCS)2]·(H2O)4}n (1) with L=bis(pyridin-3-ylmethylene) biphenyl-2,20`-dicarbohydrazide has been synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, UV spectroscopy, thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, and single-crystal X-ray structure determination. The Mn(II) atom has a distorted octahedral coordination environment with an N6 donor set from four ligands and two NCS- anions. The structure of 1exhibits a layer framework containing tetranuclear metallacyclic ring units [MnII4L4] in the chair conformation. In addition, there are multiform O-H···O, C-H···O, N-H···O, and C-H···N hydrogen bonds and C-H···p interactions in a three-dimensional supramolecular network. Hydrothermal Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Luminescent Properties of One New Inorganic-organic Hybrid Compound (ClBzQl)3[PMo12O40] (ClBzQl = 1- (4′-Cl-benzyl)quinolinium cation)

A new polyoxometalate-based inorganic-organic hybrid compound (ClBzQl)3[PMo12O40] 1 (ClBzQl = 1-(4′-Cl-benzyl)quinoli- nium cation) has been synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, and X-ray crystallography. Analysis of the crystal structure of 1 suggests that there are multiform intermolecular C−H···O hydrogen bonds between polyoxoanions and organic cations and obvious face-to-face π−π interactions involving quinoline rings of adjacent cations. The luminescent properties of the compound 1 in the solid state at room temperature were investigated.
