The spin–spin interaction matrix elements have been evaluated for all the states arising from f2 and f3 electron configurations. These matrix elements have been used to calculate the spin–spin interaction for Ce(4f2) with Z = 58 and Pr(4f3) with Z = 59 using numerical Hartree–Fock wavefunctions.

Wigners 6-j symbols are calculated and tabulated beyond the limit j1s or l1s = 8 and up to the limit j1s or l1s = 11 of the arguments for general usage in calculations in various fields of physics, especially in nuclear and atomic spectroscopy. One of the most complete existing tabulations of the 6-j symbols is that of Rotenberg et al. which gives these symbols up to the limit j1s or l1s = 8 only.
