Ovarian cancer represents the fifth most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in the world, and causes more deaths per year than any other female gynecologic malignancy.1,2 There are three forms of epithelial ovarian neoplasm, namely benign, borderline, and malignant.3 Based on histological type, type I is composed of low-grade serous, low-grade endometrioid, clear cell, mucinous and transitional (Brenner) carcinomas.
