Application of logistics principles in management of travel agency

The contribution is focused on the application of logistic management algorithms for travel agency sector. In the introduction the contribution explains the current state of the problem. As a methodology there is flash analysis, systems analysis and micro logistics analysis. The flash analysis points to the current position of the company on the local market, localisation, its products, customers, competitors, mission, vision and strategic goals for the future. System analysis shows ongoing systems in the company. Results of the contribution show to algorithms of major processes in the company and micro logistic model of the company. As a result of contribution measures are proposed, as for example a new website, modern reservation system and booking-accounting system.

Using of Bankruptcy Indexes for Slovak Mining Firm Development

Negative impacts of the economic crisis on the economy of companies did not avoid Slovak mining industry. Due to the detecting and quantifying of main factors and affecting financial performance of the company after negative impact of the economic crisis, a financial analysis of specific conditions in mining firm, producing crushed stone, has been carried out. Results of analysis determined negative development of financial and executive business situation of the firm in the future. Consequently there were proposed recommendations with possible costs cut down with aim to achieve savings and improve indicators of business activity. According to the current need to improve financial stability of the firm, a way of financial management in the future has been designed, which should contribute to objectification, acceleration and simplification of the decision process.

Economical Analysis of Logistics Processes

Logistics presents vast potential of the firm’s effectiveness, since it brings system how to create, provide and manage logistics chain that could contribute to the improving of economic results of the firm. Goal of contribution is to realize economic analysis of traffic and logistics operations with aim to improve economic situation of the firm through chosen economic and logistics indicators. During evaluation of economic situation we pointed to the possibilities to decrease cost, improve quality, productivity and increase effectiveness of logistics process.

Contribution deals with application of method and tools that are possible for using of economical evaluation of photovoltaic power plants and profitability of their service. Result of application is decision of investors to accept, or reject investment project of photovoltaic power plant redevelopment in conditions of Slovak republic.

Efficiency of Pollutants Removal in Košice Area with Respect of Living Quality Increasing

The qualitative condition and development of the environment in the Košice region is clearly affected by any activity within social development. Anthropogenic activities, especially in the manufacturing industry, negatively impact on the individual components of the environment in particular emissions of contaminants into air, water, soil and rock environment, also due to accidents, waste production and also by remote of agricultural land. It should be noted that among various components of the environment are very tight feedback and mutually influence each other and therefore any decrease in quality of one component as a result of contaminants introduction leading to disruption of ecological balance is automatically reflected in other components of the environment. Increasing the intensity of anthropogenic activities is taking place on one side an increase of environmental burdens through the issuance of a wide range of contaminating substances and exploitation through natural resources which is a manifestation of deterioration of the productivity of the country, of its hygienic and aesthetic values, and on the other side increase in economies may foster environmental protection to finance any corrective measures or to help prevent pollution by using more environmental technologies. The paper deals with the evolution and analysis of the mentioned problems within the Košice region.
