In this paper, we have analyzed theoretically the carrier-to-interference-power-ratio (CIR) of the regenerated RF signal in a fiber-optic-radio-highway with a direct optical switching-CDMA system considering the spectral aliasing distortions when the code period is longer than the bandpass sampling period.

Proposal of cascaded millimeter-wave digital radio-on-radio and radio-on-fiber entrance link for small cell mobile access

This paper proposes a new configuration of entrance link using millimeter-wave digital Radio on Radio and Radio on Fiber for small cell mobile access. By utilizing wideband property of millimeter-wave, RF signals such as cellular, WiFi and WiMAX can be digitalized and transferred to remote base station over digital Radio on Radio link. This paper shows the proposed system configuration and theoretical evaluations of the link design, and some experiment results in EVM and MER measurements for WiMAX and Digital TV signals transmitted over cascaded RoF and DRoF link. The influence of the sampling rate and quantization level at ADC are discussed.
