Implementing a direct-injection concept that started from a large displacement commercial diesel engine in a smaller displacement diesel engine can consequently achieve even lower CO2 emissions. This point was the focus of the development of this newly designed 1.4-litre direct-injection diesel engine called the 1ND-TV.
