The nuclear moments in liquid 3He might be polarized dynamically by pumping the electron spin resonance transitions of an insulating powder immersed in the liquid. This paper describes a calculation of the rate for such a polarization process.

We find low-temperature positive magnetoresistance independent of sample orientation in bulk, metallic samples of Si:P. The results are consistent with the Coulomb interactions picture including spin-splitting and show no evidence for the effects of localization.

Abstract We have studied the complex permeability of an insulating spin glass (Eu .43 Sr .57 )S at frequencies of 840 MHz and 440 MHz. The behavior is qualitatively similar to measurements at much lower frequencies. A comparison to the two level system model is made for the low temperature limit of the imaginary permeability.
