Designs that have been store in early days are often used as a reference when textile design is created . To effectively use these resources, a well-equipped design database must be constructed and a useful searching method must be studied. As to design searching method, searching methods that deal with human subjective information is requested. A technique for these searching methods one method that uses visual feature of textile design is proposed. In this paper, a correspondence was examined between the subjectivity like “pop out feeling” for textile design and spatial frequencies that are objective visual features for it . In this examination, genetic algorithm was introduced in order to increase the efficiency of processing time.It was presumed that the subjectivity like “pop out feeling” was related to lower components of spatial frequencies of textile design image. In this result, the textile design that impress man when man compare designs is similar to the textile design that is made up of lower spatial frequency components . As to design searches from subjectivity like “pop out feeling”, lower spatial frequency components that are objective visual feature are available for one of subjective searching item.

With its distinctive, highly precise and smooth multi-color images, color printers of sublime dye transfer type are being used increasingly in such fields as computer-aided design systems and the proof printing as well as video printers. This paper reveals that the color printer is of an excellent subtractive mixture of color stimuli, and further demonstrates that a highly precise color reproduction may be realized by applying a color-matching technique based on subtractive mixture of color stimuli to the printer.
