Lorenz-like system design using cellular neural networks

Enis Günay; Kenan Altun

In this study, a Lorenz-like system based on cellular neural networks (CNNs) is proposed. Complex butterfly chaotic attractors of Lorenz-like systems are constructed using a three-cell CNN. The proposed system makes the CNN imitate quadratic system dynamics without altering its output nonlinearity. Experimental and numerical analysis results are presented in order to verify the convenience of the system.

FPAA implementation of CNN based chaos generator

Enis Günay; Kenan Altun

Recent times Field Programmable Analog Arrays (FPAAs) attracts attention among the reprogrammable and reconfigurable hardwares because of their flexible structure and analog outputs. Thus, a Celluar Neural Network (CNN) based chaos generator, which was realized by using discrete circuit elements, is reactualized in FPAA platform. Experimental results are compared with numerical results and the discrete ones.

Chaotic system design with quadratic nonlinearities via switched state controlled-cellular neural networks

Enis Günay; Kenan Altun

In this study, switched State Controlled-Cellular Neural Network is used to design a chaotic system with quadratic nonlinearities. By using bipolar voltage controlled switching parameters, classical State Controlled-Cellular Neural Network gets the ability of reproducing quadratic system dynamics, without changing the original piecewise linear based output nonlinearity. This paper also presents a Field Programmable Analog Array based programming implementation of proposed system. Experimental results are reported with numerical ones to confirm the compatibility of the point of view.

A performance comparison study of programmable platforms: FPAA and FPGA implementation of COOK communication system

Enis Günay; Kenan Altun

In this study, by using bit error rate and signal to noise ratio performances, the analytical and experimental results of a chaotic on-off keying communication system are compared with each other. FPAA and FPGA implementations of chaotic digital communication system are presented with analytical ones.

BER analysis and application in FPGA and FPAA based communication systems

Enis Günay; Kenan Altun

This study, it is aimed to perform BER performance analysis in FPGA / FPAA based communication systems known as Embedded systems by using Arduino in Matlab / Simulink environment. Using the Sprott_f chaotic generator, BER performance analysis of the Chaotic On Off Keying (COOK) communication system was obtained.

Implementation of DCSK chaotic communicating system using CNN based chaos generator

Enis Günay; Kenan Altun

In this study, an application of a Differential Chaos Shift Keying - DCSK spread spectrum communication system using a Cellular Neural Network - CNN based chaos generator is proposed. The system performance is demonstrated via bit error rate-BER and signal to noise ratio - SNR analysis depending on various spreading factor.
