Essential Vitamins for Nymphal Growth of White-Backed Planthopper Sogatella furcifera HORVATH(Hemiptera: Delphacidae).

セジロウンカの幼虫発育に不可欠なビタミンを明らかにした。ふ化直後から幼虫をビタミン各1種類を除去した人工飼料で飼育したところ,チアミン塩酸塩および塩化コリンを欠いた場合,ふ化幼虫は成虫まで発育することができなかった。したがってこれら2種のビタミンは不可欠なビタミンと考えられた。飼料中のチアミン塩酸塩の最低有効濃度は0.005mg/100ml付近と推定され,塩化コリンの最低有効濃度は0.098mg/100ml付近と推定された。至適濃度の範囲は決定することができなかった。ピリドキシン塩酸塩およびパントテン酸カルシウムは不可欠なビタミンではないが成虫化率が非常に低かった。
