A generalized contraction principle in partial metric spaces

Abstract In this paper, we prove fixed point theorems for generally contractive mappings in complete partial metric spaces. Theorems presented are generalizations of recent fixed point theorems of D. Ilic, V. Pavlovic, and V. Rakocevic. An example is also stated that illustrates our results are extensions of their theorems.

A Fixed Point Theorem in 2-Metric Spaces for a Class of Maps that Satisfy a Contractive Condition Dependent on an Another Function

In this paper, we shall prove a fixed point theorem in 2-metric spaces for a class of maps that satisfy a contractive condition dependent on an another function. This is improved by the fixed point theorem of Lai and Singh in [6]. Some examples are given which show that our theorem is a proper extension of Lai and Singh.

A Generalization of Ćirić Quasicontractions

We proved a fixed point theorem for a class of maps that satisfy Cirics contractive condition dependent on another function. We presented an example to show that our result is a real generalization.

The Lie derivative of currents on Lie groups

The aim of this work is to study the properties of the Lie derivative of currents and generalized forms on Riemann manifolds. For an application, we give some results of the Lie derivative of currents and generalized forms on Lie groups.

An Extension of Generalized (,)-Weak Contractions

We prove a fixed-point theorem for a class of maps that satisfy generalized (𝜓,𝜑)-weak contractions depending on a given function. An example is given to illustrate our extensions.

Function algebras on disks II

Abstract This work is a continuation of [7]. In that paper, a sufficient condition was given on a real analytic fmlction g defined near 0 in C so that the algebra generated by z 2 and g 2 is dense in the space of continuous functions on D for all disks D close enough to the origin in C . By using the same methods and some ideas taken from the first named authors thesis we deal with the case where g is only of class C 1 near 0.

FUNCTION ALGEBRAS ON BIDISKS

We study sufficient conditions for function algebras generated by four smooth functions on a small closed bidisk near the origin in to coincide with the space of continuous functions on the bidisk. This problem in one dimension has been studied by De Paepe and the second name author.
