Ten organotin selenito compounds obtained on allowing Se03(SnPh3)2 to react with triphenylphosphine oxyde, urea and tetraphenylphosphoniumtetramethylammoniumacetonyltriphenylphosphoniumand tetraethylammonium halides or pseudo halides have been studied by infrared and Mössbauer spectroscopies, then discrete and infinite chains structures suggested on the basis of spectroscopic data.

Derivatives of general formulae R4NXO4SnPh3 (R = cy, H, Bu, Me; X= S, Se) have been synthesized and their elemental analyses performed. From the spectroscopic data (i.r, NMR,and Mossbauer) an infinite chain structure with a trigonal bipyramidal environment around the tin center has been suggested in the solid state.

Four new oxalato SnPh3 group containing compounds with R2NH2 + (R=Cy,isoBu) as counter-cations have been synthesized and studied by infrared and Mössbauer techniques .The structures are ionic and contain [C204SnPh3]~,C204(SnPh3)2 or [C204(SnPh3)3] with cis-coordinated SnPh3 groups connected in pairs as a cage by R2NH2 cations through NH Ο bonds, the chloride ions as counter-anions interacting electrostatically .

Three new dibutyl- and halostannic hypophosphinato adducts have been synthesized and studied by infrared and Mossbauer techniques .The suggested structures, while considering the anionic counterpart, are discrete or infinite chain type, the hypophosphinate behaving as a monochelating, a bridging or a monodentate ligand. When the cations are involved, supramolecular architectures are obtained. The environment around the tin centre, in all cases, is octahedral.

Six new oxalato chlorodiorganostannic derivatives and adduct have been synthesized, their infrared and Mössbauer studies carried out. Polymeric structures have been suggested, the oxalate behaving as a monochelating or a bichelating donor. R2NH2 cations, when involved, lead to supramolecular structures.
