Summary form only given. High-power all-solid-state UV lasers are used for precise material processing applications in industrial fields with the potential advantage the maintenance cost compared with other UV lasers. In solid-state lasers, although 266-nm UV power up to 10.6 W was obtained, the repetition rate was low as 100 Hz. in this paper we report the higher-power high-repetition-rate UV beam generation by CsLiB/sub 6/O/sub 10/ fourth harmonic generation of an all-solid-state laser.

Summary from only given. We report on 100-hour high-power UV beam generation with high quality CsLiB/sub 6/O/sub 10/ (CLBO) crystal. We show the schematic drawing of the UV laser system which uses a high-quality CLBO crystal and a high-brightness 100-W Q-switched diode-pumped Nd:YAG green laser.

In this paper, we study the pulse generation with the experimental apparatus consists of an in-house Q-switched Nd:YAG rod laser oscillator and a Yb-doped fiber amplifier. As a result, we obtained an average output power of 48 W with a typical clean Q-switched pulse waveform at a repetition rate of 2 kHz. This is, to our knowledge, the highest pulse energy obtained with a solid-state-laser oscillator and a fiber-based amplifier scheme.

Summary from only given. Strong thermal lensing of Nd:YAG rods limits the output power under high-quality beam generation. In this work, we demonstrated a power scaling of Nd:YAG rod laser over 1-kW while maintaining high-beam-quality and high-efficiency by cascaded-coupling of bifocusing compensation resonators.

A novel configuration for a multirod solid-state laser system is proposed. We stabilize the thermal-lens-dependent variation in the output-beam parameters by extracting the laser beam from the collimating point of periodic beam propagation. The performance is confirmed with a 100-W class diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser-amplifier system to demonstrate tenfold stabilization of the output-beam diameter.

We present a highly efficient quasi-CW Nd:YAG laser with a novel side-pumping design using micro-lens free diode-stacks and a new method of high power frequency conversion to generate high power UV laser beams from all-solid-state lasers.
