The paper describes the general controlling methods of controllable parafoil and designs a parafoil path planning method based on optimal control. To improve the accuracy of falling point and reducing manipulation quantity, this method transforms path planning of parafoil into parameter optimization by using the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm. Such an algorithm is effective for reaching a ideal solution, which is also the similar optimal solution of parafoil path planning. To verify the performance and the feasibility of this method, the traditional subdivision control method and optimal control method are compared respectively in simulation environment. Experiments show that the optimal control method of the parafoil path planning based on PSO can improve the accuracy of falling point and falling direction as well as reducing manipulation quantity.

Flue temperature is a key technical index in coke oven heating process, which is so difficult to measure directly online. The offline analysis has large-time delay and poor precision. An intelligent prediction model of flue temperature based on case-based reasoning was developed, which consists of four modules: data collection and pretreatment, prediction, online modification and effect estimate. The practical data of some coke oven were simulated. The industrial application results show that the prediction model can reflect the actual operation condition and meet the requirement of real-time control. Its effectiveness is proved evidently.

On the basis of analyzing production characteristics of coke oven, heating intelligent control model of coke oven was built. Then predictive fuzzy control algorithm was proposed combining predictive control with fuzzy control. In the algorithm, predictive control was responsible for control accuracy and fuzzy control was to provide control variables when predictive model was not convergent as well as uncorrected control variables when the model had converged. A good temperature control of coke oven with characteristics of large inertia and time delay was obtained by application of the algorithm. The practical running indicates that the algorithm has good control performance and great practical value.

Global optimization synthesis of RRRPR type five-bar mechanism is multi-peak, polymorphism, multi-model and multi-inequality constrains Optimization problem, and genetic algorithm is put forward to directly solve this optimization question, which is good at global searching. Then compensation displacement minimum and uniform rotational motion of crank are set as double goal function, the optimization model of five-bar mechanism realizing track of many points is built. Finally the instance calculation indicates that this method is practical and feasible.

Contact stress of vane seals is studied by using numerical and FEA method based on the linear elasticity theory. Results show that numerical model is appropriate to predict the distributing curve of contact stress when the maximum normal strain is lower than 10-15%. But, with sealed extrusion, finite element analysis (FEA) would be better due to the complexity of the material properties, local geometry and boundary conditions. Accordingly, nonlinear FEA analysis is adopted to study the effect of section shape and section structure on the extrusion process of vane seals. Results illustrate that extrusion occurs with elastomeric seals with rectangular section while a backup PTFE can minimize or eliminate the extrusion.

Controlled five-bar is an important area of contemporary mechanism. On account of the current gap in design software about five-bar, a controlled five-bar design platform (CFDP) has been developed with VC++ and OpenGL based on the theory of five-bar. The platform has two main functions of motion analysis and path synthesis, therefore offers a great convenience for the designers. This paper introduces the method of path synthesis and motion analysis, and then the functions and structures of the platform are discussed. Conclusion gives the overall attitudes on the software.
