Scottish Renaissance Architecture: Some Reflections at the End of the Day

Konrad Ottenheym

The colloquium in Perth in the autumn of 2013 offered a wide overview of recent research on Scottish sixteenth- and seventeenth-century buildings, their interiors and gardens, as well as the patrons, architects and craftsmen involved. The impressive amount of new information gathered at this occasion unveiled a treasure of knowledge and understanding. These concluding remarks attempt to draw together all that we have learned around three focal issues: Scottish – Renaissance – Architecture.
