SCOPE OF CONSIDERATION TO ADD NEW SKIN ON BUILDING ENVELOPE BY DRY METHOD

This paper is a study on renovation to make a new skin on building envelope by dry method. The discussion about countermeasures how to fix fall troubles of external finishing which covers GRANDSHIP in Shizuoka City is examined as a case study, the followings are pointed out: firstly scope of consideration to add a new skin to existing envelope is clarified. Secondary the risks of modifying works to envelope are categorized to two types: one can avoid them by modifying design, the other can’t. Finally the process model to compare means of renovating building envelope is proposed.

A COMPARISON BETWEEN DEFORMATION ANGLES TO DOORS LOCATED IN ENTRANCE ALCOVES

This paper is a study on deformation angles to doors located in entrance alcoves, which are regarded as a means of prevention from shutting residents into their units of apartment houses after an earthquake. The followings are pointed out by discussions on the deformation angles with considering both of floor heights and openings’ heights in walls: firstly entrance doors for middle-high rise apartment houses need more than D-2 grade of seismic performance. Secondary D-2 doors are enough for narrow types of alcoves. Finally D-3 doors are needed for wide types unless D-2 doors with transom windows are used suitably.

The survey accuracy of cover depth of rebar of RC member by the devices with electromagnetic induction method was confirmed by the experiment. As a result, it was shown that measurement of actual RC members was possible. In addition, there was the case that we have to use A method or B method of JASS5 T-608.

THE DISTRIBUTION OF BUILDING COMPONENTS IN THE RENOVATION MARKET

This paper aims to discuss the distribution of building materials by home improvement centers. Based on the analysis of Commercial Statistics and the questionnaire survey for them, the following three points are clarified: Firstly, the market of them is growing up and dispersing stores more. Secondly, their stores are categorized to two types. One is used by general consumers and the other is by small constructors. And finally, many of the latter are flagship stores built in suburbs. They have more skilled stuffs and supply general consumers better services for renovating their houses and small constructors better building materials.
