In the defense and restitution plans of the Polish Power System it is assumed that the basic element of a recovery plan will be restitution of thermal power plant units. As a result of the disastrous failure (blackout), the thermal power plant units should proceed to work on their own or are laid up in emergency. In the second case there is a need to run thermal power plant units from the blackstart source. This article presents the current status in terms of Elektrownia Turów and Elektrownia Dolna Odra production capacity restitution from blackstart source hydroelectric power plant Dychow.
