Publication

Featured researches published by L. M. Henderson.

Experimental Biology and Medicine | 1943

Growth of Rats on Synthetic Diets Containing Limiting Amounts of Thiamine.

J. M. McIntire; L. M. Henderson; B. S. Schweigert; C. A. Elvehjem

Summary Superior growth was obtained when synthetic diets containing various levels of thiamine were supplemented with sulphited liver extract. The addition of p-aminobenzoic acid and inositol to the synthetic ration also increased the rate of growth of rats receiving suboptimal levels of thiamine.

Journal of Biological Chemistry | 1946

Relation of amino acid imbalance to niacin-tryptophane deficiency in growing rats.

W. A. Krehl; L. M. Henderson; J. De La Huerga; C. A. Elvehjem

Journal of Biological Chemistry | 1948

ANTAGONISM OF AMINO ACIDS IN THE GROWTH OF LACTIC ACID BACTERIA

W. L. Brickson; L. M. Henderson; I. Solhjell; C. A. Elvehjem

Journal of Biological Chemistry | 1948

Effect of amino acids on the growth of rats on niacin-tryptophan-deficient rations.

L. V. Hankes; L. M. Henderson; W. L. Brickson; C. A. Elvehjem

Journal of Nutrition | 1943

The retention of vitamins in meat during cooking.

J. M. McIntire; B. S. Schweigert; L. M. Henderson; C. A. Elvehjem

Journal of Nutrition | 1949

Purified amino acids as a source of nitrogen for the growing rat.

G. B. Ramasarma; L. M. Henderson; C. A. Elvehjem

Journal of Nutrition | 1942

Pantothenic acid in the nutrition of the hen.

L. M. Henderson; J. M. McIntire; Harry A. Waisman; C. A. Elvehjem

Effect of cystine and threonine on the growth of rats receiving tryptophan-deficient rations.

L. V. Hankes; L. M. Henderson; C. A. Elvehjem

Journal of Nutrition | 1942

The effect of enzymatic digestion on the pantothenic acid content of meats determined by the microbiological method.

Harry A. Waisman; L. M. Henderson; J. M. McIntire; C. A. Elvehjem
