One-pot synthesis of borolanes by reaction of aluminacyclopentanes with BF3·Et2O

L. O. Khafizova; L. I. Khusainova; T. V. Tyumkina; U. M. Dzhemilev

A selective procedure was developed for the synthesis of substituted borolanes via transmetalation with BF3 · Et2O of 3-alkyl-1-ethylaluminacyclopentanes obtained from the corresponding terminal olefins and AlEt3 in the presence of Cp2ZrCl2 as a catalyst. 3-Substituted 1-fluoroborolanes were isolated and identified as 1: 1 complexes with EtBF2.

Abstract A ‘one-pot’ catalytic method for the synthesis of 1,1-disubstituted cyclopropanes starting from olefins, acetylenes and AlEt 3 in the presence of Cp 2 ZrCl 2 , via a step involving in situ formation of aluminacyclopentanes and aluminacyclopentenes, respectively, was developed. Five-membered organoaluminium compounds obtained without preliminary isolation are transformed to cyclopropanes under the effect of Ni(acac) 2 in combination with allylhalogenides in the case of aluminacyclopentanes and alkylsulphates in experiments with aluminacyclopentenes.

Aluminacyclopentanes in the synthesis of ethyl 1-hydroxycyclopentanecarboxylates

U. M. Dzhemilev; A. G. Ibragimov; L. O. Khafizova; R. R. Gilyazev; A. L. Makhamatkhanova

A one-pot procedure has been developed for the synthesis of ethyl 1-hydroxycyclopentanecarboxylates. The procedure includes cycloalumination of terminal olefins with triethylaluminum in the presence of Cp2ZrCl2, reaction of alkyl-substituted aluminacyclopentanes formed in situ with diethyl oxalate in the presence of a catalytic amount of copper salt, and acid hydrolysis.

Synthesis and transformations of metallacycles: 20. Cp2ZrCl2-catalyzed cycloalumination of arylolefins with AlEt3

A. G. Ibragimov; L. O. Khafizova; K. G. Satenov; L. M. Khalilov; L. G. Yakovleva; S. V. Rusakov; U. M. Dzhemilev

The Cp2ZrCl2-catalyzed reaction of arylolefins (styrene,o- andp-methylstyrenes,trans-stilbene, 1,4-diphenyl-1,3-butadiene) with AlEt3 resulting in mono- and disubstituted alumacyclopentanes and substituted alumacyclopropanes was studied. The yield and ratio of cyclic organoaluminum compounds depend on the structure of the initial arylolefins and conditions of cycloalumination.

Synthesis of substituted 2,3-dihydro-1H-boroles by transmetalation of aluminacyclopent-2-enes with BF3·Et2O

L. O. Khafizova; L. I. Khusainova; T. V. Tyumkina; U. M. Dzhemilev

A procedure was developed for selective synthesis of 4,5-dialkyl-1-fluoro-2,3-dihydro-1H-boroles via transmetalation of the corresponding aluminacyclopent-2-enes with BF3·Et2O. 4,5-Dialkyl-1-fluoro-2,3-dihydro-1H-boroles were isolated as complexes with BEtF2. 4-Alkyl-5-dimethylaminomethyl-1-fluoro-2,3-dihydro-1H-boroles were synthesized for the first time.

Synthesis of tetrasubstituted furans by multicomponent reaction of alkynes with dichloro(ethyl)aluminum and carboxylic acid esters in the presence of Cp2TiCl2

L. O. Khafizova; Mariya G. Shaibakova; Nuri M. Chobanov; Rinat R. Gubaidullin; T. V. Tyumkina; U. M. Dzhemilev

A one-pot procedure has been developed for the synthesis of 3,4-dialkyl-2,5-dicycloalkyl(aryl, hetaryl)furans in 38–82% yield by reaction of symmetrical alkynes with cycloalkane(arene, hetarene)carboxylic acid esters and EtAlCl2 in the presence of Cp2TiCl2 as catalyst.

Synthesis of halogen-substituted borolanes and 2,3-dihydro-1H-boroles by reactions of aluminacarbocycles with boron trichloride and boron tribromide

L. I. Khusainova; L. O. Khafizova; T. V. Tyumkina; U. M. Dzhemilev

A selective procedure has been developed for the synthesis of 1-chloro(bromo)-substituted borolanes and 2,3-dihydro-1H-boroles by reaction of aluminacarbocycles with boron trihalides BX3 (X = Cl, Br). 3-Substituted 1-chloro(bromo)borolanes and 2,3-dihydro-1H-boroles have been isolated as individual substances, and their structure has been determined.
