Design of metal detector based on single chip microcomputer

A kind of metal detector based on single chip microcomputer MSP430 control was developed, whose control core of the detector is the low power consumption microprocessor MSP430. The metal object probe of the detector is LDC1000 inductance/digital converter evaluation board (AY - LDC1000). The detector perceive or measure conductor target position and material composition by inductance sensor. Liquid crystal LCD12864 will display the metal object coordinates. Stepper motor will control the sliding and rotation system. The equipment is easy to implement, which has good reliability, sensitivity and anti-interference. The detector has the very broad application prospects in the field of metal detection.
