is an example of a large class of boron complex anion salts which are very soluble and highly conductive in dioxolane. Solutions of have been investigated as electrolytes in cells. At room temperature such cells have been operated as rechargeable energy storage devices which are capable of continuous discharge (5 mA/cm2) and charge (1.25 mA/cm2) cycling.
