Overview: The Geological Genesis in High Sour Gas Reservoir

Compared with conventional gas reservoirs, fractured gas reservoirs with high sulfur have their special technique in development, due to the hydrogen sulfur in the reservoir fluid and the possibility of element sulfur in formation. For example: the hydrogen sulfide is toxic and corrosive, the sulfurs deposition in formation and well- bore, the closure of cracking, the formation of the hydrate in the well-bore, the anomaly of shut-in well head pressure, and the increasing content of H2S. Many specific characteristics of fractured gas reservoirs with high sulfur have resulted in many great difficulties in the development producing and transport of gas reservoir. On the basis of the summary about the geological genesis in high sour gas reservoir, this paper has analyzed the main controlling factors on the formation of these reservoir and the main deciding factors of the content of sulfur.

The Summary of High Sulfur Fractured Gas Reservoir's Exploitation Features

Compared with conventional gas reservoir, the complexity and particularity of geologic characteristic and exploitation feature in high sulfur gas reservoir leads to its development technique difficulty, strictly required safety condition and high cost of exploitation. There are some problems in the procedure of exploitation, such as the phenomenon of sulfur deposition in layer and wellbore, the phenomenon of fracture closure, the hyper toxicity of hydrogen sulfur, strong corrosiveness, the formation of hydrate in wellbore, the phenomenon that the component concentration of hydrogen sulfur in produced gas is move upward as well as the abnormality of wellhead pressure after the gas well is shut in. Furthermore, these problems have great effect on regular production of high sulfur fractured gas reservoir.

The Way of Appraising the Active Degree of Gas Reservoir Considering the Production Performance of Water Invasion Gas Reservoir

The water of body multiple factors calculated by static state and dynamical methods are the simplest ways to distinguish the active degree of water driver gas reservoir recently. However, the active degree of water driver gas reservoir is different in different production stage due to the influence of water body porosity and permeability, the formation communication of water body and gas reservoir, the production position, the well pattern deploying, and the gas well mode, etc. This paper develop a new way to distinguish the active degree of water driver gas reservoir which consider the production performance of water invasion gas reservoir, such as water body porosity and permeability, the formation communication of water body and gas reservoir, the production position, etc.
