Synthesis of p-acetamidophenyl β-D-glucopyranosiduronic acid

Leonard Weintraub; Stanley R. Oles; Armin Wilson; Louis Wilson

A total synthesis of p-acetamidophenyl β-D-glucopyranosiduronic acid is reported. The type and degree of solvation were determined from the integrated n.m.r. spectra of the compound in [2H6]dimethyl sulphoxide with and without added [2H4]acetic acid.
