Absorption thermal energy storage technology has the advantages of high energy storage density and negligible heat loss. It is a promising thermal energy storage method that can be applied in renewable energy effective utilization such as solar thermal energy and low temperature waste heat utilization such as industrial waste heat and waste heat from combined cooling, heating and power system. The basic principle and characteristics of the Absorption thermal energy storage are introduced firstly. The research status and developments in working pairs selection, cycles investigation, theoretical and experimental studies are summarized in detail. Lastly, the key technologies on absorption thermal energy storage needed to research are pointed out.

the sports building is often crowded with many sports practitioners, so the thermal environment and indoor air quality in the sports buildings are very important to the athletes and other sports practitioners. Many problems such as different demands between auditorium and playing area, air conditioning system design and air conditioning operation exist in sports buildings in order to improve the thermal environment and indoor air quality. In view of the problems, its proposed to compare the air distributions of different working conditions for optimal flow pattern, consider the usual requirement and competition requirement in calculating the air conditioning load and explore the testing and evaluation technology of thermal environment and indoor air quality. The general suggestions will provide references to the guarantee of the thermal environment, indoor air quality and energy efficiency in sports buildings.
