Houve associacao entre equilibrio e variaveis de forca isocinetica, indicando que quanto maior a potencia muscular, melhor o nivel proprioceptivo (condicao 4 do TOS) e, quanto maior o trabalho total, melhor o estado dos sistemas proprioceptivo e vestibular (condicao 5 do TOS).Study developed in the Evaluation Laboratory of the Undergraduate Program in Physical Therapy of the Universidade Federal do Pamapa (Unipampa), Campus Uruguaiana – Uruguaina (RS), Brazil. 1 Student of the course of Physical Therapy of the Universidade Federal do Pampa (Unipampa) – Uruguaiana (RS), Brazil. 2 Physical therapist of the course of Physical Therapy of the Universidade Federal do Pampa (Unipampa) – Uruguaiana (RS), Brazil. 3 Physical therapist, PhD in Science Education, professor of the course of Physical Therapy of the Universidade Federal do Pampa (Unipampa) – Uruguaiana (RS), Brazil. 28 Analysis of the postural balance and knee isokinetic muscle strength of female futsal players Análise do equilíbrio postural e força muscular isocinética de joelho em atletas de futsal feminino Análisis del equilibrio postural y fuerza muscular isocinética de rodilla en deportistas de fútbol sala femenino Bruna Belchor Barcelos1, Lilian Pinto Teixeira2, Simone Lara3

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the association between postural balance and anthropometric indicators in elementary school students. Methods: This cross-sectional, descriptive and quantitative study included children enrolled in the first year of elementary school, of both sexes, in the age group of 6 to 7 years. Children with any physical or cognitive impairment, children who did not participate in all stages of the study evaluation, or those who failed to perform postural balance assessments were excluded. The children underwent a balance evaluation through a computerized dynamic posturograph, with sensory organization tests (TOSs) in six different sensory conditions. In order to verify the anthropometric indicators, the body weight and height measurements were evaluated for later calculation of the body mass index (BMI), which was categorized into four groups: low weight, normal, overweight and obesity. Results: Eighty children with a mean age of 6.2±0.8 years were included, being 47 girls (58.8%). The analysis of the anthropometric indicators identified that 26.3% of students were overweight and 15% were obese. The children had averages below the reference values considered for their age range in conditions III and VI. There was a negative association between condition V and BMI and a positive association between values below normal in condition VI with overweight and obesity. Conclusions: There were associations between excess body weight and values below normal in some balance conditions, indicating that the anthropometric indicators interfered in the children’s postural balance.

Was compared the postural pattern related to the cervical spine and shoulder girdle, practitioners and students not Pilates practitioners. This was a cross-sectional and quantitative study. The study evaluated a convenience sample consisting of 39 students, divided into Pilates group (PG) composed of 21 students and inactive group (IG) consisting of 18 students. Postural assessment was made of the same through the SAPO software. There were significant differences between the groups on the variables related to the horizontal alignment of acromions (p=0.02), horizontal asymmetry of the scapula (p=0.003), vertical alignment of the body in the right side view (p=0.0003), and asymmetry in frontal plane (p=0.0003). Pilates practitioners students had better shoulder and scapula alignment and better body alignment and the center of gravity when compared to non-practitioners.
