Lipoma arborescens (LA) is defined as a villous lipomatous proliferation of the synovial membrane with diffuse substitution of the synovial tissue by mature fat cells. The injury is very rare, involving the knee joint (suprapatellar region) and is associated with degenerative joint disease. We describe the case of a male patient, suffering from ankylosing spondylitis with monoarthritis of the right knee and swelling in suprapatellar region important. The diagnosis of lipoma arborescens was confirmed from the MRI of the right knee.

Noonans syndrome is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder with high phenotypic variability, characterized mainly by facial dysmorphism, congenital heart disease and short stature. We describe the case of a male patient diagnosed with Noonans syndrome and peripheral spondyloarthritis, a previously undescribed association in the literature.

Pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) is a benign synovial proliferation associated with hemosiderin deposits, which originates in joints, bursa or tendon sheaths. The knee is the joint most commonly affected (80% of cases), and less frequently it can affect the shoulder, ankle and elbow. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is used to detect PVNS, and histological analysis is used to confirm the diagnosis. We describe the case of a patient with monoarthritis of the left knee, who after multiple biopsy studies, it was found to be compatible with PVNS.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, systemic, and inflammatory disease of unknown etiology that mainly affects the synovial membrane of the joints. It is characterized by chronic pain and joint destruction, which leads to premature mortality and risk of disability, with high costs to the patient and society. The case is presented of a young male patient with aplastic anemia since 8 years old who, in 2009, began with swelling and joint pain in the hands, wrists and ankles, fulfilling criteria for rheumatoid arthritis.
