This paper discusses the results of a pilot study conducted between January and June 2012 in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Institute of Psychiatry, at UFRJ. This is an exploratory study, through documentary analysis, which tracked complaints related to schooling within the universe of triage cases in the said period. Therefore, it had the goal of mapping school complaints that were recorded at the front door of a university psychiatry service. It presents the main complaints made by schools on mental health focused on childhood and adolescence from 285 triage records, as well as age and gender analyses based on the entry into the service. It also discusses how the school complaints are described from six triage reports pointing to the importance of the contradictory standout in the original complaint. It concludes that about one third of those seeking this service of childhood and adolescence psychiatry presents initial complaints involving schooling, then learning difficulty and agitation were prevalent.

O presente artigo e fruto de uma pesquisa sobre a adolescencia e o laco social, mais especificamente, sobre os adolescentes e o laco educativo nos contextos contemporâneos. Nosso trabalho de campo foi orientado pelo metodo da pesquisaintervencao, no qual realizamos grupos de conversacao com alunos e professores de uma escola da rede publica situada no municipio de Niteroi. Neste artigo, centramos nossa analise no material proveniente dos grupos de conversacao com adolescentes do 8o e 9o ano, refletindo sobre os lacos sociais estabelecidos no universo escolar, levando em conta questoes pertinentes ao contexto sociocultural mais amplo. A presenca da violencia e da intimidacao constante nas relacoes entre os alunos, bem como entre alunos e professores, nos leva a questionar o conceito de “bullying”, tal como vem sendo eminentemente propagado no campo academico e midiatico. Em contraposicao, trazemos para essa discussao, sustentada no âmbito de um dialogo das ciencias sociais com a psicanalise, o enfraquecimento da palavra e dos pactos nas relacoes sociais contemporâneas, o que se reflete em relacoes sociais sempre tensas e em diversas manifestacoes de violencia nas escolas.

This paper is the result of a research on the interface between Psychoanalysis and Education that proposes to investigate and intervene on the relationship teenagers have towards school nowadays. It was based upon a research-intervention conducted with teenagers and educators that work directly with that segment, within a public school in the State of Rio de Janeiro, located in the municipality of Niteroi. The work at the school consisted in workshops provided to those participating in a project focused on students that had trouble to complete the elementary course of studies. By creating several categories for analysis, we were able to organize the data and speech recorded in the reports, facilitating the debate on theory that departs from field work. Among the many issues noted during research, what stands out is the difficulty faced by teenagers to sustain their own and individual discourse about themselves and such difficulty is reinforced by the proposed special class in which they are enrolled.
