Indicadores de cambio temático en el discurso parlamentario: Análisis de un discurso de Rodríguez Zapatero [2011]

espanolEl concepto de tema ha sido tratado ampliamente en la linguistica y desde distintas perspectivas, pero no siempre se ha aplicado al analisis de textos concretos. A partir del acercamiento a un discurso parlamentario, nos proponemos explorar los mecanismos que se emplean para marcar las estrategias de cambio tematico, y en particular las de introduccion tematica. Describimos, por un lado, los ‘indicadores’ de dicho cambio tematico, como vocativos, marcadores discursivos, indicadores verbales del punto de vista o expresiones metadiscursivas; por otro, el ‘sintagma tematico’ o la emision del tema mismo. Tales indicadores, que van a caracterizar en muchos casos la modalidad de todo el tema, pueden combinar sus apariciones en solitario con otras, mas frecuentes, que muestren un proceso de acumulacion o sinergia de mecanismos linguisticos que orientan sobre los limites del discurso. A partir del analisis de los mecanismos de introduccion tematica, el objetivo del estudio es comprender mejor el modo en que la estructura secuencial del discurso articula la estructura tematica de un texto de caracter expositivo-argumentativo EnglishThe notion of topic has received much attention in linguistics and has been studied from different perspectives, although the concept has not always been applied to the analysis of texts. In this article, we analyze a political speech delivered at the Spanish Parliament and describe the strategies used by the speaker to signal topic shift, and in particular, topic introduction. In the analysis of the data we have identified vocatives, discourse markers, verbal markers of point of view, and meta-discursive expressions as markers of such strategy. These can appear alone or combined in a synergic or accumulative process whereby certain linguistic expressions orient the hearer on discourse structure and boundaries. The description and analysis of topic markers will allow us to better comprehend how sequential relations in discourse shape the topic structure of an expository-argumentative text
