“Espejo de Guerra” y Matriz Poética en la Construcción Histórica del Reino de Chile*

At the light of several colonial literary works, this article reviews relationships between poetry and politics from the Colony to the first formation of the Chilean Republic. This approach allows us to observe that in the early literary creation of the kingdom of Chile there existed a deep mixture between historical discourse, political discourse and poetic enunciation of reality. Such mixture is what is presented as the “transcolonial imagination of Chile”, which is concretized as a foundational poetic-literary matrix of important weight in the historical and cultural configuration of Chile.

Barroco y transhistoriedad en Latinoamérica y Chile

Este trabajo aborda la transhistoriedad del Barroco latinoamericano y chileno, vinculandolo con los distintos estadios de globalizacion experimentados por la cultura latinoamericana, desde el siglo XVI hasta hoy. Se centra en el caso chileno, donde identifica la matriz poetica e historica del Barroco de Frontera, recorriendo desde La Araucana hasta poeticas neobarrocas actuales. This work deals with the transhistority of the latin american and chilean baroque, linking it with different stages of globalization experienced by the latin american culture since the XVI century until now. The articule focuses in the chilean case, identifying the poetic and historical structure of the Border Baroque, going over from La Araucana up to contemporary neobaroque poetics.

Centrado en las representaciones plasticas de Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, el presente trabajo refl exiona sobre la relacion entre la representacion del Barroco de Indias y su contexto de produccion. A partir de las anteriores coordenadas, revisa la obra de la monja y la orientacion epistolar que adquieren sus poemas como forma de evasion de la celda y el habito.
