Single-DMD based solid-state volumetric true 3D display

Feng Qibin; Tong Hao; Liu Tao; Chang Yunfei; Lv Guoqiang; Wu Huaxia

True 3D display can provide more depth cues to viewers. Different from the 3D display developed by Light Space Company, a single-DMD based true 3D display consists of a UHP lamp, a color wheel, a hollow integrator, a relay system, a DMD, projection lens, folder mirrors, 20 LC shutters, and several control circuits. The speed of the color wheel and circuits are required to be very high. The final luminance is 237cd/m2. The color gamut is 69.7% of the NTSC standard and the color temperature is 5407K.

Design of high-directivity lens dipole antenna at 60 GHz

Li Xiangxiang; Sang Lei; Lu Baojun; Liu Gang; Lv Guoqiang

This paper presents the design and simulation of high gain dipole antenna with perforated dielectric lens working at millimeter-waves (55-65 GHz). The perforated dielectric lens by drilling numerous air-filled holes can be used to correct phase difference on the antenna aperture. By properly designing the radius of the holes, the dipole antenna with phase correcting lens achieves 10.2-15.6 dB gain variation. Compared with the dipole antenna without lens, the minimum gain enhancement is about 6 dB.

A New Type of Multi-Beam Slow-Wave Structure of Millimeter Wave Traveling Wave Tube

Li Zelun; Lv Guoqiang; Deng Shanxil; Huang Youjun; Deng Guangsheng

A new type of multi-beam slow-wave structure used in millimeter wave band was presented in this paper. The characteristics of the slow-wave circuit were analyzed and the equivalent circuit was obtained. Using numerical simulation software, the model of slow-wave structure was established, meanwhile, frequency dispersion and coupling impedance were simulated. The results of numerical simulation show that the type of multi-beam slow-wave structure has the characteristics of good dispersion, high coupling impedance and high effective interaction, so it can be widely used in millimeter wave traveling wave tube with high power.

A New Instrument for Ceramic Pug Moisture Measurement with Microwave

Li Zelun; Deng Shan-xi; Lv Guoqiang; Huang Zhicheng

A new instrument for ceramic pug moisture measurement has been developed, and microwave heater, power supply system, high precision weight sensor and single chip microcomputer (SCM) system are all designed. Through the experimental data, the conclusion can be drawn that the microwave moisture instrument can detect the moisture of ceramic pug rapidly with high precision.

Simulation of Beam-Wave Interaction for Millimeter Wave Coupled-Cavity Traveling Wave Tube Using PIC

Li Zelun; Lv Guoqiang; Deng Shanxil; Huang Youjun; Deng Guangsheng

A method of particle-in-cell (PIC) has been introduced to simulate beam-wave interaction of millimeter wave coupled-cavity traveling wave tube (TWT). The principle of PIC was analyzed theoretically. Both the move track of particles of electron beam and the change of electric field were simulated before and after beam-wave interaction with our self-designed PIC software. The simulation results show that dynamic beam-wave interaction of millimeter wave TWT can be expressed accurately using PIC, which may provide guidance for the research of beam-wave interaction of TWT.

XML-based agent communications for plant automation

Lv Guoqiang; Feng Qibin

The agent communications are basis for agent coordination, cooperation, competition, and task-performing. Agent communication languages (ACLs) provide a high-level, flexible and general model for agent communications. XML is much more useful to integrate and exchange the information in the heterogeneous environment, which can be used to describe the task information, equipment information, etc. The information expressed in XML and wrapped inside the content of KQML message is transmitted between agents. The receiver agent can easily understand the intension of sender agent and get the attributes of the communicative acts. The combination of KQML and XML provides a possible solution for the heterogeneousness and interoperation of MAS.
