This paper reports the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow and heat transfer characteristics of a second grade fluid in a channel. Analytic technique namely the homotopy analysis method (HAM) is used to solve the momentum and energy equations. The important findings in this paper are the effects of second grade parameter, Hartmann number, Reynolds number, thermal radiation parameter, Prandtl and local Eckert numbers on the velocity, temperature, skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number.

The squeezing flow of an incompressible micropolar fluid between two parallel infinite disks is investigated in the presence of a magnetic flied. An analysis of strong and weak interactions has been carried out. Similarity solutions are derived by homotopy analysis method. The variation of dimensionless velocities are sketched in order to see the influence of pertinent parameters. Skin friction coefficient and wall couple stress coefficient have been tabulated. In addition, the derived results are compared with the homotopy perturbation solution in a viscous fluid.

This investigation describes the effects of heat transfer on magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) axisymmetric flow of a viscous fluid between two radially stretching sheets. Navier-Stokes equations are transformed into the ordinary differential equations by utilizing similarity variables. Solution computations are presented by using the homotopy analysis method. The convergence of obtained solutions is checked. Skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number are given in tabular form. The dimensionless velocities and temperature are also analyzed for the pertinent parameters entering into the problem.

An analysis has been carried out for the heat transfer on steady boundary layer flow of a secondgrade fluid bounded by a stretching sheet. The magnetohydrodynamic nature of the fluid is considered in the presence of Hall and ion-slip currents. The nonlinear mathematical problem is computed by a powerful tool, namely, the homotopy analysis method (HAM). A comparative study between the present and existing limiting results is carefully made. Convergence regarding the obtained solution is discussed. Skin friction coefficients and Nusselt number are analyzed. Effects of embedded parameters on the dimensionless velocities and temperature are examined

We investigate the flow of a micropolar fluid between radial stretching sheets. The magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) nonlinear problem is treated using the homotopy analysis method (HAM) and the velocity profiles are predicted for the pertinent parameters. The values of skin friction and couple shear stress coefficients are obtained for various values of Reynolds number, Hartman number, and micropolar fluid parameter.
