Synthesis, film-forming, and light-sensitivity properties of allyl and propargyl maleopimarates and cytraconopimarates

M. P. Bei; V. A. Azarko; A. P. Yuvchenko

Previously unknown allyl and propargyl esters of maleopimaric and citraconopimaric acids were synthesized. The film-forming and light-sensitivity properties of these compounds were studierd.

Efficient synthesis of maleopimaric acid N -arylimides

M. P. Bei; A. P. Yuvchenko; N. V. Puchkova

An efficient approach toward synthesis of maleopimaric acid N-arylimides starting from rosin maleic anhydride adduct without isolation of maleopimaric acid has been elaborated. Terpenoid diimide diacids and their esters have been synthesized based on the obtained N-arylimides. Thermal stability of the products has been estimated by derivatography.

E. A. Dikusar; V. I. Potkin; N. G. Kozlov; D. A. Rudakov; T. D. Zvereva; S. K. Petkevich; M. M. Ogorodnikova; A. P. Yuvchenko; M. P. Bei

A preparative method for the synthesis of m-carborane azomethines via the condensation of mcarborane-C-4-formylphenyl methanoate with aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, and aromatic amines was developed.

Synthesis and properties of maleopimaric N-(n-alkyl)imides

M. P. Bei; A. P. Yuvchenko

Method of synthesis of maleopimaric N-(n-alkyl)imides by the reaction of maleopimaric acid with primary aliphatic amines in melt was developed. On the basis of the obtained compounds allyl esters were synthesized. Thermal stability of the synthesized compounds was evaluated by the method of derivatography.

Synthesis of aromatic azomethines by condensation of substituted benzaldehydes with 4-aminophenylene-N-imide of maleopimaric acid

E. A. Dikusar; M. P. Bei; A. P. Yuvchenko; V. I. Potkin

Preparative method of synthesis of aromatic azomethines by condensation of substituted benzaldehydes of vanillin series with 4-aminophenylene-N-imide of maleopimaric acid was developed.

Synthesis of New Nitrogen-Containing Derivatives of Fumaropimaric Acid

M. P. Bei; A. P. Yuvchenko

Methods have been developed for the synthesis of a series of nitrogen-containing derivatives of fumaropimaric acid, in particular triamides, amido amidines, and amido diesters. New functionalized derivatives at the 11- and 12-positions (diol, bis-methanesulfonate, bis-p-toluenesulfonate, diazide, and bis-triazoles) have been synthesized from the 1-(piperidin-1-ylcarbonyl) derivative.

New Amides and Imidoamides of Maleopimaric Acid as a Chiral Dopants for Nematic Liquid Crystal Compositions

M. P. Bei; A. P. Yuvchenko; Al. An. Muravskii; An. Al. Muravskii

A method for the synthesis of N-(4-alkyl, alkoxyphenyl)amides and imidoamides of maleopimaric acid was developed. Their thermal stability and optical activity were estimated. The properties of liquid crystal compositions with the synthesized compounds as chiral dopants were studied.
