The objective of this study is to identify the use of software in qualitative studies produced within the framework of Brazilian postgraduate programs in the health area. This scoping review was carried out from the Thesis Bank and Dissertations of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). Dissertations and theses produced in the scope of Brazilian postgraduate programs in the health area configured as qualitative studies using software were analyzed. Data were analyzed by simple descriptive statistics. The final sample consisted of 306 studies. Seventeen software programs were used, some in combination. Emphasis was placed on the central role of the researcher in qualitative research. We conclude that the use of software in qualitative Brazilian studies in the health area, although still incipient, have increased, indicating a concern for innovation in research methods due to current demands for the methodological rigor of qualitative investigations and the creativity of the researcher.

Objective: To describe the perceptions of teachers and healthcare professionals regarding the integration of nursing technicians in Nursing Care Systematization (NCS). Methods: This was a descriptive, qualitative study. Participants were seven teachers and 13 nursing technicians linked to a university hospital in northeastern Brazil. Data collection occurred using the focus group technique and the textual content was submitted to lexicographical analysis. Results: The perceptions of the teachers resulted in four analysis classes: potentials of integration of the technicians in NCS; obstacles and weaknesses; training of the technicians; and teaching in the service as paramount. Regarding the opinions of the technicians, three classes were analyzed: subjective representations; potentials of the NCS; and possible contributions of the nursing technicians. Conclusion: The teachers and healthcare professionals described the potentials of the integration of nursing technicians in NCS and recognized this as a condition for the effectuation of this working method.

Background: To summarize the scientific evidence on the influence of safe nursing care to multiple trauma patients in the emergency care. Methods: Scoping review using the strategy P (Population) C (Concept) C (Context) and performed in PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Scopus and Web of Science in June 2016. Results: The sample was composed of 43 articles, with most of them being descriptive (n=35; 81.4%), quantitative approach (n=32; 74.4%), level of evidence 4 (n=35; 81.4%) and recommendation grade A (n=40; 93.0%). The structure pointed to the availability of equipment for performing imaging and laboratory functioning (n=18; 41.9%). The process highlighted the completion of the screening in the emergency department (n=20; 46.5%). The result showed the great waiting time of patients to treatment (n=4; 9.3%) and dissatisfaction of professionals regarding the care provided and the working conditions (n=4; 9.3%). Conclusions: The triad structure-process-result of the emergency services have problems able to compromise the security of critically ill patients.
