« Les malentendus de l’hégémonie ». Gramsci dans le parti communiste français (1953-1983)

Le Parti communiste francais s’est-il veritablement interesse a l’œuvre d’Antonio Gramsci ? Notre article presente plusieurs etapes de la reception – discussion de l’œuvre du communiste italien au sein du PCF en soulignant des aspects meconnus, au-dela de la caricature habituelle selon laquelle Gramsci aurait ete purement et simplement ignore ou meprise. Sans avoir une place centrale dans le « marxisme-leninisme » longtemps dominant, il a neanmoins ete interroge a plusieurs reprises et utilise notamment par les intellectuels communistes afin de tenter une renovation du marxisme.

Storia di un incontro mancato: il Partito socialista di Mitterrand e il Pci di Berlinguer

This essay revisits the trajectory of the relations between Psf and Pci. It comprises their relations during the leadership of Enrico Berlinguer and Francois Mitterrand and the first four years in which the latter held the presidency of France. The opinions on the Pci open up an interesting perspective to understand how Mitterand’s party fights for the hegemony within the nation’s left during the 1970s, and to define how - after the victory in the 1981 elections - it strategically and culturally revisits its new role in government. The analysis of the relations between both parties constitutes a specific point of view on the foreign policy of the Pci both towards parties of the Socialist International and the communist parties of Western Europe.
