Modelagem dos processos de negócio e especificação de um sistema de controle da produção na indústria de auto-adesivos

This article presents the development of an information system for production control in an industry of self-adhesive products. The option to develop their own information system is due to the high specificity of their production system and unsuccessful attempt to adopt ERP systems available. The development of the intended information system was based on the modeling of all businesses processes throughout production, recognizing all data, processes and people involved, and especially the flow of information and decisions made during production. This body of information raised through the modeling of businesses processes enabled the specification of the structure of the data contained in every notation form from the shop floor, as well as the definition of access screens for all reports, and data manipulations required for production. By using a database, spreadsheets and some microcomputers interconnected in a network, a production control system was implemented on the shop-floor six months after the beginning of the system development. Details of the businesses processes modeled, of the data structure and of all flows are presented in this article. Comments on the results complete this study.

PROCESSO DE NEGÓCIO DA PRODUÇÃO DE AÇO: MODELAGEM DO FLUXO PRODUTIVO ORIENTADO EM EVENTOS DISCRETOS

Este artigo apresenta os modelos de processos de negocio da producao de aco feitos atraves de diagramas baseados na linguagem EPC (Event-driven process chain). Discussao e analises do resultado sao feitas e sugestoes sao propostas neste trabalho. Tambem e feito uma revisao do conceito de processo de negocio, das ferramentas de modelagem de processo e das arquiteturas de referencia, onde a arquitetura de referencia ARIS e apresentada e que foi usada para produzir os modelos de processos detalhados neste trabalho.

THE USE OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN THE STRATEGY PROCESS IN ORGANIZATIONS

This article analyzes the use and application of information systems in the process of strategy at organizations. It is an exploratory analysis, initially made five so that strategic thinking is manifested (the five Ps of Strategy Mintzberg) and then, more specifically from the perspective of strategy and information systems, the exploratory analysis of the potential use and application of each type of information system can be used at each stage of strategic planning. To produce this analysis, the article has been organized to present a literature review on the concept of strategy, strategic planning and information systems. After the literature review is done analyzing the potential use and application of information systems, primarily over the five Ps strategy of Mintzberg and then on the steps of strategic planning. For each step of the strategic planning was assigned a value to all types of information systems as its potential use and application. The results have been summarized in several radar charts and discussion of one and a comparative analysis results showing all side by side complete this paper. INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

This article analyzes the use and application of information systems for the management of quality management systems based on the requirements of ISO9001 . It is an exploratory analysis , taken from a quantitative research , convenience sampling and voluntary membership in specific groups of technical quality management in social network LinkedIn . The research results reveal the types of information that are most commonly used systems pasa management of Quality Management Systems in ISO9001 certified organizations . Other issues were also raised , as the profile of the organization , its size and the requirements generally excluded in order to draw a profile of the type of company and the type of computer support more used to each organization profile . It can also be revealed through this research the requirements of the ISO9001 standard which has more difficulties to be supported by information systems . The results were summarized in graphs and tables and complete this work, a theoretical study of information systems and quality management systems . ROTAS SOLIDÁRIAS: UM ESTUDO DAS ROTAS DE COLETA DE MATERIAIS RECICLÁVEIS NUMA COOPERATIVA POPULAR DE COLETA E SELEÇÃO DE RECICLÁVEIS

Este trabalho apresenta um estudo das rotas de coleta de materiais reciclaveis realizada por uma cooperativa popular de coleta e selecao de reciclaveis incubada pelo CRCA (Centro de Referencia em Cooperativo e Associativismo) na cidade de Campinas. Esta cooperativa popular possui um caminhao que, diariamente, realiza dois itinerarios – um no periodo matutino e outro no periodo vespertino – em busca de materiais reciclaveis em aproximadamente 200 empresas, condominios e outros estabelecimentos que destinam seus reciclaveis a esta cooperativa popular. No entanto, as rotas percorridas pelo caminhao nao se mostravam eficientes, sendo, em alguns casos, longas e demoradas e com baixo volume de material coletado. O estudo apresentado neste trabalho propoe novas rotas de coleta com maior eficiencia economica se comparado com as rotas anteriores. Este estudo consiste na comparacao do custo total para realizar o itinerario e o valor coletado pelo caminhao neste itinerario, determinando quais itinerarios sao os mais rentaveis e quais sao os menos rentaveis. Para os itinerarios menos rentaveis foi feito uma reordenacao dos pontos de coleta utilizando o problema do caixeiro viajante e foi recalculada a rentabilidades destas rotas. Uma breve revisao teorica sobre logistica, roteirizacao de veiculos e detalhes sobre o calculo do custo do frete completam o artigo.

CONCEPTUAL MODELING IN SYSTEM SIMULATION: PRINCIPLES FOR CONSTRUCTION GOOD MODELS

This paper presents a collection of general principles for the creation of conceptual models used in the computer simulation systems. The system simulation is part of the operational research and it is used for decision making and to better understand a phenomenon within organizations. The process of simulating a phenomenon involves several steps, most of which are supported by computational resources that have enjoyed great technological developments in recent decades, and other steps that depend exclusively on simulationist that conducting the simulation project, like that the conceptual modeling stage. The conceptual modeling is considered a milestone of great complexity, which depends exclusively on the skill and creativity of simulationist. This step is a major challenge in the simulation because the simulation results are directly dependent on the quality of the conceptual model from which it derives the computational model to be transcribed in computer simulation environments. The collections of principles for the conceptual modeling presented here were obtained mostly from an extensive literature on simulation and other principles developed by the author from the experience. For each principle was an analysis of how this principle contributes to the development of a good conceptual model. This concept of good model was also obtained from the literature. It is hoped that this work contributes to the simulationists the difficult task of representing reality in order to simulate them and understand it better.

EXTENDING HOLONIC MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS TO ACHIEVE THEVIRTUAL ENTERPRISE DOMAIN

Increased competition in the global market place has forced companies to seek better products and services, but with lower cost and in a market suitable time. According to the holonic manufacturing paradigm, those requirements could be achieved if a reconfigurable enterprise was developed from autonomous and intelligent agents that dynamically interact with each other. This system should be able to automatically organize itself in such a way that its functions were arranged to achieve the finest performance. But if this system was really effective and proactive, it should search for functionalities beyond its own boundaries; it could obtain better competitive edges if it were gathering external partners that do some tasks in better ways than it ordinarily does by itself. Hence, the virtual enterprise, in its sense of distributed enterprises aggregation, can be a natural result of holonic manufacturing systems. This paper illustrates the advantages in using holonic concepts in the virtual enterprise realm through the self-organization of dynamic systems, exploring the holonic paradigm as a catalyst to enable this aggregation. Hence holonic manufacturing models will be seen as important references to virtual enterprises.
