Paper concerns a method of extracting cross sections of objects placed on revolving platform from a matrix constituted by signal received coherently for different angles. There are utilized short pulses, with broad frequency bandwidth. Calculations of an image are based on phase shift between received pulses. Paper includes preliminary results of experiments.

The paper concerns imaging system which can be utilized in various applications generally and medicine particularly. It allows obtaining the cross section of the object under test located on a revolving platform and excited with ultra short pulses. The cross section is calculated on a base of measurement data matrix constituted by the received signals, reflected from the object under test for subsequent angle locations. Phase shift between the signals within the matrix is here the fundamental information.

Classical antenna parameters, usually do not involve phase dependencies since usually they are of little importance for the antenna system. For ultra wide frequency bands however, information about time of reception of certain frequency components, which is carried by phase characteristics, might become very important. This paper concerns such situation.

DVB-T is becoming the most popular standard of terrestrial video transmission. The number of devices working in this standard is growing; therefore developing methods and measurement set-ups enabling testing entire devices as well as their sections is reasoned. In the present paper there has been shown a project and test results of a system, whichs aim was to transmit the DVB-T signal in any frequency channel in the range of 470-870 MHz. The system is supposed to be a core of automated DVB-T measurements setup and consists of the DTA-116 TV card and the constructed device, which is a low-cost alternative for the commercial solutions. The upconverter was designed, realized in PCB technique and tested experimentally.
