Investigación psicoanalítica en la universidad

Luciane Loss Jardim; María del Carmen Rojas Hernández

This article proposes to outline the essential differences in scientific research, starting from contemporary-rationalism, and psychoanalytic research. Using this distinction, it is possible to determine the necessary conditions for psychoanalytic research based exclusively on psychoanalytic criteria, which aims to study the unconscious processes originating in the psychoanalytic clinic. We therefore try to describe the formalization of psychoanalytic research in the university context, which involves the description and conceptualization of the clinical case.

Algunas puntualizaciones acerca de la ciencia y el cuerpo

María del Carmen Rojas Hernández; Luciane Loss Jardim

When adopting the Cartesian position that separates mind and body, science, especially medicine, takes the body as an object of scientific investigation. The body is dissected by the anatomic and rational clinic that excludes the subject. Psychoanalysis is directly concerned with what science sets aside, thus opening up a field of knowledge by subverting Descartes´ cogito, thus creating a new clinical basis that takes into account the dimension of the jouissance of the body.

The body as constitutive element phenomenology and psychoanalysis on our view of ourselves and others

Paulina Monjaraz Fuentes; María del Carmen Rojas Hernández; Stefano Santasilia; Fernanda Monjaraz Fuentes

The aim of this manuscript is to highlight that from the phenomenology and psychoanalysis point of view, the meaning of the notion of the body is different from the medical biologicist discourse. In psychoanalysis, the body is an erogenized body. It is constituted as an object for another self. Similarly, in phenomenology, the body is an own body in first instance. It is the body of a self, rather than a living body and a material body. Both positions enable us to understand how this conceptualization of the body is essential in any human field. Especially in the clinic, the position of the subject before the other will lead to a specific form of intervention. From this understanding of the human body, both phenomenology and psychoanalysis confirm that the biologicist understanding of the body, presumed by all psychological and medical practices, is insufficient.
