Elementos para una delimitación entre vettones y carpetanos en la provincia de Toledo

The territorial limit between Vettones and Carpetani has not an exact reflexion in classical sources, so it is necessary to introduce in its analysis elements of epigraphic and archaeologic kinds. So, the area of discoveries of bull and boar sculptures present in the Vettones world, but not in the Carpetani world, and the use of the onomastic, allow us to suggest hypothesis to establish the geographical limits between the two peoples, on the grounds of their cultural differences.

La actuación de las asambleas provinciales en Hispania bajo el gobierno de Adriano

El presente trabajo es una puesta al dia de la informacion que se conserva para la epoca de Adriano sobre las actuaciones de las asambleas provinciales en Hispania a traves de las fuentes literarias y epigraficas: las dedicaciones realizadas o permitidas por la asamblea, los individuos objeto de los homenajes, el papel de las ciudades como elemento de cohesion en los territorios provinciales, asi como las consultas que la institucion hizo frente al Principe y las tareas especiales que encargo a algunos miembros de las elites locales.

Adriano y el noroeste de Hispania c. 132-134 d. C.: actuaciones en el valle del río Limia (Ourense)

This work analyzes the presence of Rome in the northwestern area of Hispania during Hadrians’ tribunicia potestas XVI to XVIII (A.D. 132-134), which consisted in the improvement of infrastructures and the legal relationship with the indigenous communities affected by these reforms. The army played a leading role in all these actions, so their presence in the valley of the Limia river (current province of Ourense) is the focus of the activity studied.

Los Domitii de Consabura y una noticia de Frontino

This paper is a brief reflection on some of the information in the classical sources on the Roman city of Consabura (Consuegra, Toledo), and in particular the words of Frontinus concerning the behaviour of the municipium during the Sertorian war. The literary reference is connected with consaburensis society, in which individuals carrying the nomen Domitius played a prominent role.

Inscripciones funerarias colectivas de época romana en el distrito de Castelo Branco (Portugal)

Se estudia aqui un aspecto del habito epigrafico en las inscripciones del distrito portugues de Castelo Branco, como es la abundancia de enterramientos colectivos, en un numero mayor que en el resto de la Peninsula. Se trata de testimonios perfectamente coherentes con el contexto local, tanto en lo que se refiere a los aspectos onomasticos como en el tipo de soporte, y que por su propia estructura permiten rastrear la evolucion prosopografica de los grupos familiares, asi como sus modos de inclusion en el ambito latino.
