The recent furore over the temporary storing of bodies on hospital chapel and mortuary floors, and in particular some of the language and concepts employed in the reports, makes me want to ask what on earth is going on.

Clinical grading system ignores experience

I could not disagree more with Katherine Hammerton-Fraser (Letters July 12) and Tiggy Ansell (Letters June 14) about nurses who are asked to accept a lower clinical grading when they return to the profession. The problem is with the clinical grading system.

Religion has no place in prostitution issue.

Before he continues in the time-dishonoured male tradition of telling women how they ought to conduct their sex lives, may I suggest new man Bruce Fraser (Letters July 5) takes the trouble to read an excellent work by a true feminist _ Nudes, Prudes and Attitudes by Avedon Carol, a founder member of Feminists Against Censorship.
