Fast channel acquisition in coherent multichannel receivers

Methods for very fast and reliable channel acquisition in coherent multichannel receivers are presented. This includes IF bandwidth switching for obtaining proper AFC pull-in signals, as well as local oscillator presetting with maximum drift tolerance. The resulting channel switching speed is 212 ms under all operational conditions.<<ETX>>
