Adriana Gracia Pisticelli e professora e pesquisadora da Universidade Estadual de Campinas – Brasil. Possui graduacao em Ciencias Antropologicas pela Universidade de Buenos Aires – Argentina (1979), mestrado em Antropologia Social pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas – Brasil (1990) e doutorado em Ciencias Sociais pela mesma instituicao (1999). E autora dos livros “Joias de familia: genero e parentesco em grupos empresarias brasileiros vinculados a familias” (Editora da UFRJ, Rio de Janeiro, 2006) e “Trânsitos: brasileiras nos mercados transnacionais do sexo (EDUERJ/CLAM, 2013).

Divorciados, na forma da lei: discursos jurídicos nas ações judiciais de divórcio em Florianópolis (1977 a 1985)

This article intends to discuss the first divorce processes (from 1977 to 1985), that were made possible by the Law 6.515, of 26.12.1977 (called the Law of Divorce), in Florianopolis, through the research made in the File and Memory Division, from the Judicial Bureau of Santa Catarina State. This research realizes how - in spite of the appellative speeches of the institutions to this juridical instance (principally the Catholic Church and the institutions connected to it), that cursed the danger of family dissolution and its traditional values - such law was created mostly to legalize already established familiar habits. It also analyzes how the couples, who had been separated for many years and had established a new union, asked for divorce with the objective of regularizing their civil situation, which had been, until that moment, at the edge of the law. Observing the juridical speeches, we noticed the reproduction of prescribed values to one and other gender, and the power relations underlying these statements.

Entre vergonhas e silêncios, o corpo segregado. Práticas e representações que mulheres produzem na experiência da mestruação

This article is inserted in the analysis of cultural practices as well as their representations, as lived by women from different generations in the South of Santa Catarina State, perceived in the experience of the menarche emergence as a rite of passage. Our purpose is to understand how women, within the menarche experience, build representations of the feminine. Menstruation as a body manifestation, is only understood within a certain cultural context, so its meanings can only be understood within such contexts. For these analyses, the gender category encourages the idea that all kinds of silence, guided by senses of fear and shame, are understood as cultural constructions and bring about power relations. This situation is circumscribed in the imposition of the so called “feminine roles” by showing a body which is produced according to gender expectations. From the oral history perspective, the memory sources were precious for this work, being interpreted in the light of History methodologies.
