Das Kühlsystem des neuen BMW 7er

Zur Erfullung der hohen Kundenanforderungen an den neuen 7er hinsichtlich Dynamik, Komfort, Verbrauch und Umweltvertraglichkeit wurden neue Achtzylinder-Ottomotoren und ein neues Sechsgang-Automatikgetriebe entwickelt. Zu den gestellten Anforderungen leistet das neue Kuhlsystem einen wesentlichen Beitrag. Die zeitgleiche Entwicklung von Fahrzeug und Antrieb wurde genutzt, um das Warmemanagement optimal abzustimmen. Dabei wurde eine Reihe neuer Losungen entwickelt, die auch die Produktions- und Wartungskosten senken.

The new BMW 7 Series cooling system

To satisfy customers’ high expectations of the new 7 Series in terms of dynamics, comfort, fuel consumption and environmental compatibility, new 8-cylinder petrol engines and a new six-speed automatic transmission were developed. The new cooling system also makes an important contribution to the fulfilment of these requirements. The simultaneous development of the vehicle and the powertrain permitted an ideally matched thermal management system to be designed. In the process, a number of new solutions was developed which also reduce production and maintenance costs.
