We have developed the worlds first 25-inch diagonal high resolution color PDP (Plasma Display Panel) with 1280×1024 pixels (SXGA). The newly developed cell structure and a high speed driving method enable a wide operating voltage range and a 1.5μs scan/line addressing speed. These have made a high resolution color PDP with 0.39mm pixel pitch being a reality.

Properties of ZnS Thin-Films Grown by Ionized-Cluster Beam Deposition

The properties of ZnS thin-films grown by the ionized-cluster beam (ICB) deposition at a low substrate temperature have been investigated. The crystallinity of the deposited films is dependent on an accelerating voltage of ionized-clusters. It is found that a highly crystalline ZnS film can be grown at a relatively low substrate temperature of 130°C by optimizing the accelerating voltage.
