This paper reports: (i) the relationship between certain psychological factors (i.e. field dependence/field independence, convergence/divergence and working memory capacity); and (ii) the effect of these factors on the performance of the grid-type of questions and of word association tests in biological concepts.

Structural communication grids: a valuable assessment and diagnostic tool for science teachers

Structural communication grids involve data being presented in the form of a numbered grid and students being asked to select appropriate boxes, and to put them into a logical sequence, in response to a set question. Use of these grids give an insight into sub-concepts and linkages between ideas held by students, so that a deep level of understanding can be assessed.

Türkiye’de Yayımlanan Çevre Eğitimi Konulu Makale Ve Tezlerin Genel Analizi

Gelecek nesillerin rahatca yasayabilecegi surdurulebilir bir yasami anlamak ve modellemek icin, gundemde olan bilincsiz kaynak tuketimi, cevre kirliligi, geri donusum gibi konular hakkinda calismak, fen ve teknoloji alaninda cevre egitimi basligi altinda bu tartismali konulari interaktif bicimde ogrencilere sunmak onemlidir. Bu konularda calismanin yani sira yapilan calismalarin icerik, yontem ve analiz acisindan mevcut durumunu ortaya koymak, bundan sonra yapilacak calismalara yon gostermesi acisindan gereklidir. Bu calismanin amaci, 2000-2016 yillari arasinda yapilmis olan cevre egitimi konulu tez ve makalelerin genel analizini yapmaktir. Arastirma kapsaminda 47 ulusal tez ve Turkiye’de SSCI kapsamindaki dergilerde yayimlanan 39 makale incelenmistir. Arastirma sonuclari su sekildedir: Arastirmalarda en fazla “cevresel tutum ve davranis, cevre bilgisi, cevre egitimi, cevresel sorunlar” kavramlarinin calisildigi gorulmektedir. Cevre egitimi konulu calismalarin en cok universite ogrencileriyle yapildigi gorulmektedir. Arastirma yontemi olarak nicel arastirma yontemi sik kullanilirken, betimsel/tarama modeli en cok kullanilan arastirma modelidir. Veri toplama araci olarak en cok olcekler ve testler kullanilmistir.
