High Efficiency of Two Efficient QSDC with Authentication Is at the Cost of Their Security

Qin Su-Juan; Wen Qiao-Yan; Meng Luo-ming; Zhu Fu-Chen

Two efficient protocols of quantum secure direct communication with authentication [Chin. Phys. Lett. 25 (2008) 2354] were recently proposed by Liu et al. to improve the efficiency of two protocols presented in [Phys. Rev. A 75 (2007) 026301] by four Pauli operations. We show that the high efficiency of the two protocols is at the expense of their security. The authenticator Trent can reach half the secret by a particular attack strategy in the first protocol. In the second protocol, not only Trent but also an eavesdropper outside can elicit half-information about the secret from the public declaration.

A QoS-Aware Packet Scheduling Mechanism in Cognitive Radio Networks for Smart Grid Applications

Xu Siya; Wei Lei; Liu Zhu; Guo Shaoyong; Qiu Xue-song; Meng Luo-ming

Cognitive radio sensor network is applied to facilitate network monitoring and management, and achieves high spectrum efficiencies in smart grid. However, the conventional traffic scheduling mechanisms are hard to provide guaranteed quality of service for the secondary users. It is because that they ignore the influence of diverse transition requirements in heterogeneous traffic. Therefore, a novel QoS-aware packet scheduling mechanism is proposed to improve transmission quality for secondary users. In this mechanism, a QoS-based prioritization model is established to address data classification firstly. And then, channel quality and the effect of channel switch are integrated into priority-based packet scheduling mechanism. At last, the simulation is implemented with MATLAB and OPNET. The results show that the proposed scheduling mechanism improves the transmission quality of high-priority secondary users and increase the whole system utilization by 10%.

Revenue-driven dynamic resource allocation for network virtualization

Zhang Shun-li; Qiu Xue-song; Meng Luo-ming

Network virtualization has emerged as a powerful and flexible platform for future network. A major challenge is virtual network embedding problem that deals with efficiently mapping of virtual nodes and virtual links onto substrate network resources. However, resource quantity requested by virtual network service is related to time and revenue, which is not concerned by existing researches, resulting in the inefficient utilization of substrate network resources and lower revenue. To address this problem, autonomic resource allocation model based on revenue and Revenue-Driven Dynamic Allocation (called RDDA) based on time interval classification (i.e., short-term, medium-term and long-term) are presented for first time. Simulation results show that RDDA improves the substrate network resource utilization rate and the revenue of Infrastructure Provider.

An OSE proposing based customer QoE improvement method in the converged network

Zhuang Ai-min; Qiu Xue-song; Meng Luo-ming; Gao Zhipeng

This paper presents a novel customer QoE improvement method. The method which aims at satisfying the customer demand, shields the heterogeneous networks making the impact on the operation support capacity in the converged network environment. Based on the method, through extracting, packaging and proposing the OSS service enabler-OSE, the OSE proposing platform is built on managing the customer service in the standardized and component based manner. The OSE proposing platform successfully applying in some telecom operator to manage the service in FMC environment, promotes the enterprise efficiency of handling the complaint, and enhances the customer QoE rapidly.

The study of network management architecture cube model and its applications

Qiu Xuesong; Xiong Ao; Meng Luo-ming

The network management architecture concept and the research issues of the network management architecture are given. Based on TMN logical layer architecture, a cube model of the network management architecture is proposed. The application of the model for ATM network based VPN service management is studied in detail.
