During the Scuba survey at the Cevlik coast area of the southeastern side of the Iskenderun Bay on February 3, 2018. One male specimen of marbled shrimp Saron marmoratus was collected by scoop net at a depth of 15 m. With the present study, S. marmoratus is the first time reported from Turkish marine waters. The members of the genus Apterichtus Duméril, 1806 are rare in abundance and poorly known taxonomically and biologically. Species specific characters of the genus are characterised by the absence of all fins, a lack of cirri on the upper lip, and the posterior nostril opening outside of the mouth, usually on the upper lip (Smith & McCosker, 1999). The European Finless Eel Apterichtus caecus (Linnaeus, 1758) is distributed from the eastern Atlantic to the western basin of the Mediterranean, and from Gulf of Ginea (Bauchot, 1986; Leiby, 1990). It was first recorded from Israel at the Levantine coast by Golani (1996), followed by records off the Antalya Bay in 2007 (Fricke, Bilecenoğlu, & Sarı, 2007; Gökoğlu, Güven, Balcı, Çolak, & Golani, 2009). A new record of A. caecus from the eastern Mediterranean is presented here.

One specimen of shrimp scad Alepes djedaba (Forsskal, 1775) was caught by using fish net at a depth of 30 m on 11 October 2017 from Sinop Bay, the West Black Sea. With the present study, A. djedaba is first lessepsian fish species in the Black Sea coast of Turkey. The migration of IndoPacific species to the Black Sea indicate that climate change is getting an important issue both for marine biodiversity and fisheries in the Black Sea.

Several microsatellite loci which were developed and reported for turbot Scophthalmus maximus were examined for Scophthalmus maeoticus. Only five of these microsatellite loci were successfully amplified with new developed PCR conditions and can be used for routine analysis of stock identification of S. maeoticus.
