In this paper, the time effective calculation methods of the maximum time interval error estimate (MT/spl circ/IE) are proposed. The formula of the MTIE estimator and the time error sequence measurement conditions are presented. The method of MT/spl circ/IE calculation based directly on the estimators definition is the first method presented. Then the methods which enable computation of the MTIE estimate in a rather short time are proposed. The experiment of MT/spl circ/IE calculation using the presented method is described. The comparison between the methods is made. The pros and cons of the proposed methods are pointed out.

In this paper the methods enabling real-time Allan deviation (ADEV) and time deviation (TDEV) are presented. The idea of real-time quasi-parallel computation of ADEV and TDEV is described first. The results of experimental tests of the methods proposed for different conditions (numbers and lengths of observation intervals simultaneously analyzed) are presented and discussed.

In this paper the experimental tests of the methods enabling real-time quasi-parallel assessment of maximum time interval error (MTIE) are presented. The idea of real-time quasi-parallel computation of MTIE is introduced first. Then two methods enabling real-time MTIE calculation are described. The results of computation experiments performed using several different data sequences and different computers are included

This paper deals with the problem of efficient assessment of maximum time interval error (MTIE) for a series of observation intervals. The method expands the concept of the extreme fix method, which also is briefly described. Then the idea of the extreme fix with sequential data reducing method of MTIE estimate calculation is thoroughly developed. The mechanism of sequential reducing data volume is explained. The time efficiency of the method proposed is evaluated through comparison of the time taken to compute MTIE estimate by means of this method and the method resulting directly from the MTIE estimator formula (the direct method) as well as the extreme fix method of the MTIE estimate calculation. Distinctive performance of the method proposed is confirmed by the MTIE calculation experiment.

In this paper the methods enabling assessment of maximum time interval error (MTIE) in the real-time are presented and compared. The idea of real-time quasi-parallel computation of MTIE is described first. Then two different methods enabling real-time MTIE calculation are described. The results of experimental tests performed for different data sequences and using different computers are presented and discussed.

Maximum time interval error (MTIE) is one of the parameters describing the quality of the timing signal of a telecommunications network. The paper describes some problems in quasi-parallel assessment of MTIE. The mechanism of error appearing in the MTIE assessment with sequential data reduction is presented. Then some solutions are proposed which allow the error probability to be reduced or errors to be avoided.

In the paper, the possibility of real-time quasi-parallel assessment of the maximum time interval error is considered. The method of quasi-parallel calculation adapted to real-time working is described. The results of the calculation experiments using different data and computation equipment are presented.

In this paper some modifications of the methods enabling real-time assessment of Maximum Time Interval Error (MTIE) are proposed. These modifications allow to control the parameters computation process. The results of computation experiments performed for different data sequences are presented.

The method of calculation of Maximum Time Interval Error (MTIE) estimate, presented in the paper, proved to be time effective. The method demonstrated its effectiveness for timing signals stemming from different sources. In some situations, however, the mixture of direct method (used for very short observation intervals), extreme fix (EF) method (used for a bit longer observation intervals) and EFDR method (used for the usually most numerous rest of observation intervals) seems to be the best choice. There is a possibility to use the EFDR method for calculating the MTIE estimate quasi-parallel and on-line for a series of the observation intervals.

In this paper the methods enabling real-time assessment of dynamic Allan deviation and dynamic time deviation are presented. The idea of real-time analysis of timing signals using dynamic approach is described first. Then the algorithms of real-time computation of dynamic parameters are presented. The results of experimental tests of the methods proposed for different conditions are presented and discussed.
