The massification of higher education in Poland means that many students choose this educational pathway to improve their chances for a good job. Therefore, the labour market outcomes of graduates provide an important perspective for future students, higher education institutions, as well as decision makers at the national level. The Polish Graduate Tracking System (ELA), based on administrative data, is designed to monitor graduates’ outcomes in the labour market by type of studies, higher education institution, as well as individual curricula. Results of the first two years of graduate tracking show that the outcomes vary by study area, but also change over time. While in the first months after graduation, aspects such as prior experience in the labour market and place of residence have a substantial effect on employment chances, in the longer run, they lose their importance relative to other factors.

The paper presents the probabilistic interpretation of Shapley-Shubik index and Banzhaf value and the concept of partial homogeneity structure. Probabilities of being critical can be calculated based on this structure. These probabilities constitute the basis for calculating hybrid power indices, Shapley-Shubik index and Banzhaf index being the extreme cases. The paper presents the idea of reconstruction of partial homogeneity structure based on maximum likelihood estimation. This method is based on the same assumptions as hybrid power indices. The method is illustrated by simple heuristic examples and results of analysis of clubs’ voting in 7th term of Sejm – the lower house of the Polish parliament.

The article presents an important application of spatial generalization of Shapley value for simple games. Proposition presented by Shapley and Owen enables very interesting empirical interpretations. It has also strong contribution in the research of spatial voting models’ properties when there is no stable solution. This theorem enables us to fi nd the least unstable solution and therefore this is the valuable answer to the problem presented in the McKelvey’s theorem. The article presents the main postulates of the spatial voting theory, a geometric insight on which the general proof of Shapley-Owen theorem is based and empirical illustration of the presented concepts.
