AbstractAwareness of the role of logistics centres is the precondition for successful planning, optimization, design, management, control and analysis of logistics processes and subsystems. Transportation requirements in supply chains, ecological requirements and the need for quality life in cities particularly emphasize the importance of selection of logistics centre locations, manner and time of supply. Taking into account the significance of selection and ranking of different locations, it is necessary to compare, as objectively as possible, the influences of various criteria and reduce them to a common function, i.e. present the methodology of solving complex problems associated with ranking of alternatives. The proposed method is expected to be a comprehensive tool of decision makers during the selection of the optimal logistics centre locations.

Abstract Lead-free solders with copper represent possible substitution for standard lead-tin solders. For the complete definition of the properties of the ternary Bi-Cu-In system, there were performed the investigation of micro structures, hardness by Brinel, and electric conductivity of the alloys. In the range of this ternary system, numerous alloys were tested for three vertical sections, with molar ratio Sb : Cu = 1, Cu : In = 1, Sb : In = 1. The micro structures of the alloys were investigated by application of optic microscopy. By application of CALPHAD method, and software package PANDAT 8.1. there were calculated the isothermal cross sections at 298 K and 673 K. The experimentally obtained phase compositions in microstructures are in a good agreement with phases on calculated cross sections.

The paper presents a procedure for design of an appropriate noise protection system for an automobile scrapyard. The influenced object is a residential area that borders the scrapyard. The noise impact was estimated by measurements of noise levels in the residential area. Since the measurements revealed that the noise level is above the allowed limits in a wide part of the residential area, a noise map was assembled. The noise maps enabled determination of critical points, with the highest noise levels. Based on calculated noise levels in critical points, characteristics of sources of noise and the relevant noise regulations, a sound barrier was designed as a noise protection mean that will provide a sufficient noise protection of the plant.

Abstract Alloys with gallium, antimony and zinc, whose elements, metal constituent WEEE (they are specified for mobile phones) are particularly important for developing photoelectron devices, simple reproductive methods of producing p-n structures GaSb, also for production and construction of photo-wave cells in solar panels and they are also processes which develop ceramic semiconductors. In addition, these alloys represent possible substitute for standard lead-tin seam. For the complete definition of the properties of the ternary Ga-Sb-Zn system there were performed many researches of the alloys. The microstructures of the alloys were investigated by usage of SEM with EDS and optic microscopy. By usage of CALPHAD method there was detected the isothermal cross-section at 25ºC. The GaSb has similarities in the properties and behaviour with GaAs, and it is a potential material for the construction of the p-n diode, the photo-wave and thermo-photo-wave cells in solar panels and LCDs. Newly developed materials have been recommended as an adequate replacement for lead and arsenic, which are very dangerous and harmful metals. Mikrostruktury stopów badano z wykorzystaniem SEM z EDS i mikroskopii optycznej. Dzięki wykorzystaniu metody CALPHAD stworzono diagram fazowy dla temperatury 25ºC. GaSb wykazuje podobne właściwości i zachowanie do GaAs, a to stwarza możliwość wykorzystania tego stopu do budowy diod p-n, elementów fotoelektrycznych i termofotoelektrycznych, wykorzystywanych w panelach słonecznych i LCD. Nowo opracowane materiały są zalecane jako odpowiednie zamienniki ołowiu i arsenu, które są metalami bardzo niebezpiecznymi i szkodliwymi.

Abstract Given that Sn-based lead-free solders are considered as possible substitution for standard lead-tin solders, properties of the alloys from ternary Bi-Sb-Sn system were characterized by microstructural SEM-EDS analysis, Brinell hardness tests, and electrical conductivity measurements. Isothermal cross section at 298 K and liquidus surface projection were calculated by application of CALPHAD method and software package PANDAT 8.1. The experimentally determined phase compositions in analyzed microstructures were found to be in a good agreement with phases on calculated cross sections.

Products such as modular partition walls of vault rooms (with or without vault doors) are made at the request of the client who chooses the safety degree and provides the available dimensions of the wall that should be made. Modular construction of vault walls is the system of construction of industrially made elements which are composed in situ, which allows design of products adjusted to individual requirements of clients. Since the vault wall modules repeat in every new project and since they differ only by their number and dimensions, the use of modern CA (Computer Aided) tools and the possibility of application of parameter and variant design shorten design time and eliminate possible errors in the process of design of modular vault walls, which reduces the costs of production and increases the level of product quality. The paper presents the procedure for calculation of parameters of parts, modules and the entire vault wall in Microsoft Excel based on which the 3D model of a modular vault wall is automatically configured and developed in software package Autodesk Inventor.
